"U.S.: PKK a terrorist organization
ANKARA, Turkey, Aug. 2 (UPI) -- The United States considers the Kurdish nationalist group PKK a terrorist organization, a State Department spokesman said.
Tom Casey told reporters in Washington that he knows of no secret plans for joint operations against the group, the New Anatolian reported. But he said that the U.S. government believes that Turkey and Iraq should work together to fight the PKK and said the United States would cooperate."
