Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan rejected a request by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to visit Ankara.
The Turkish Daily News learned that Abbas sent a message to Erdoğan last week requesting a swift visit to Ankara on his way to Moscow. But Erdoğan's office rejected the request due to the prime minister's tight schedule. Erdoğan was in Antalya on vacation last weekend and returned to Ankara late Monday. "
