"Lagendijk: 'AK Party’s victory is good news for Turkey and for Europe'
Commenting on the result of the elections in Turkey, Joost Lagendijk, Chair of the Delegation to the EU-Turkey Joint Parliamentary Committee, today said:
“The victory of the AK Party is good news for Turkey because it enables the AK Party to continue its successful economic policies and its democratic reforms. It is good news too for Europe provided that the AK Party now returns to the strong pro-European policies it pursued between 2003 and 2004."
