British Ambassador to Turkey Nicholas Baird said on Saturday the United Kingdom appreciates Turkey's fight against the PKK, but added that the UK does not understand what a cross-border military operation into nothern Iraq would achieve. Talking to the Anatolia news agency, Baird noted that a possible incursion into northern Iraq may cause too much damage in regional stability in the long-term.ANK-Anatolia news agency"
