U.S. Ambassador to Ankara Ross Wilson, accompanying David Sampson in Istanbul, answered TDN's questions on whether problems encountered by Motorola and Cargill in Turkey still have an effect on the bilateral business relations of the two countries. He also shared his thoughts on visa problems that Turkish businesspeople are facing.“Success follows success. People see bad news as problems. It creates a reputation,” Ambassador Wilson said. “Any country in which an investor faces a problemmust address the problem. Turkey did address the Motorola problem. They came to an amicable agreement. Motorola resumed its investments here and Motorola is promoting Turkey as a strong place to invest for themselves and for other companies."
