"France won't block EU Turkey talks

PARIS, France (Reuters) -- France will not block or try to slow down talks on Turkey at European Union meetings next week, French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner said on Friday.
Kouchner said President Nicolas Sarkozy's position that Turkey was not part of Europe was well-known. But he added that Sarkozy did not want to block next week's EU summit as his main priority was a deal on a simplified European institutional treaty."
