EU Enlargement Commissioner Olli Rehn visited Istanbul to attend a high-level conference on energy. Also this week: Brussels lifts the Excessive Deficit Procedure imposed on Greece.
Istanbul hosted a high-level conference titled 'Turkey and the EU: Together for a European Energy Policy' on Tuesday (June 5th). Speaking at the conference, EU Enlargement Commissioner Olli Rehn said negotiations on the Energy chapter will be a key part of Turkey's EU accession talks. The country will have an important role in the EU's energy policy, he said."
