One of Turkey's two remaining veterans from the War of Independence lost his life at a Konya hospital on Sunday. Veysel Turan, 107, who had been under the 24-hour supervision of doctors for the past year due to poor health, was taken to the Konya Meram Education and Research Hospital on Saturday after his condition worsened in the morning."
