Turkey is the worst among OECD countries in employing an educated workforce, a study by the Education Personnel Labour Union (Turk Egitim-Sen) said. In the study, the Turkish education system is compared to other OECD countries’ systems.
As reported by the Anatolian News Agency, the study says that Turkey’s male students receive an average of 2.1 years more education on OECD average, while female students are educated 0.8 years longer. In half of the OECD countries more than 70% of children between the ages of three and four attend some sort of school, but this number remains only 2.6% in Turkey. "
