"Strong support for women's rights in Turkey
The European Parliament today voted overwhelmingly in favour of the second report by Dutch Social-Democrat Emine Bozkurt on women's rights in Turkey. The report, which was adopted by 522 votes in favour with 15 against, points the way forward for women to reduce their dependency on men and to increase their participation in education, politics and the labour market.
