Textbooks printed by the National Education Ministry have opened the way to controversy regarding their treatment of Ataturk.
Some of the historical commentary in the books reportedly clashes with information given in previous textbooks, and CHP MP from Denizli, Mustafa Gazalci, has called on National Education Minister Huseyin Celik to answer questions on this subject.
