Everybody wants to see peace established:
Oktay EKŞİ, HürriyetYaşar Kemal, whose friendship is an honor for us, gave an influential speech at a conference titled Turkey Looks for Its Peace, organized in Ankara a couple of days ago. He used three very striking sentences. Turks do have friends other than Turks. This is no secret. The Kurds have been friends with the Turks since the time of Malazgirt. I would also like to recall that in a speech asserting that multiculturalism is cultural richness he once said: The world is a garden of culture filled with thousands of flowers. Every flower has its own unique color and smell. Humanity should guard each culture with utmost care. If we picked one of these thousands of culture flowers, humanity would be deprived of a color and a smell."
