New Delhi, January 16: IT started with Gandhi and it went on with an Indian Fakir. Two characters stand out in renowned Turkish puppeteer Haluck Yuce’s show at the ongoing Ishara Puppet Festival at the India Habitat Centre in the Capital. One: a traditional Turkish stock character, Karagoz, and two: an Indian Fakir, or snake charmer. Both being in the same show is Yuce’s way of saying that India and Turkey have a great puppetting tradition, ergo the bonds between the two need to be strengthened."
