"38 years imprisonment for Al Qaida’s Turkish commander

A lawsuit demanding 38 years imprisonment has been filed against lawyer M.T. who admitted to being the Turkish commander of the Al Qaeda network.

An investigation was begun by Izmir Public Prosecutor Birol Çengil following an article appearing in Tempo magazine entitled, ‘Al-Qaeda in Turkey with 50 living bombs’. During the investigation, M.T., who was working as a lawyer in Izmir at the time of his arrest, had been also been responsible for 11 pro Al-Qaeda websites."
