Over 9 million travelers, 60 percent of whom were Turkish citizens, passed through Istanbul's Atatürk Airport in the first nine months of the year, the Anatolia news agency reported.
As Turkey's largest border gate, the airport recorded 9,235,940 entries/exits during the January-September period, 5,755,272 of them Turkish citizens. A similar proportion of Turkish citizens made up the number of international travelers. "
