NEW YORK -- He's been at odds with the government of his native country, and was even put on trial for 'insulting Turkishness.' So for this year's winner of the Nobel Prize for literature, the award is even sweeter.
Orhan Pamuk says it goes beyond being a personal honor. He calls it a way of honoring the Turkish literature and culture he represents."
