Whether Turkey (or rather the Recep Tayyip Erdogan government) is still maintaining a drive for European Union membership has become a source of concern for many, both at home and abroad. Executives of the ever-influential pressure group (not a non-governmental organization as they sometimes describe themselves), the Turkish Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association's (TUSIAD), took the trouble to visit the prime minister in Ankara to voice that worry of Istanbul industrialists."
