Representing the London constituency of Hackney, Labour MP Diane Abbott spoke to Toplum Postası’s Alkan Chaglar about education and political representation of Turkish-speaking people in the UK and briefly on Turkey’s EU accession and Cyprus. Born in London with Ghanaian parentage, Diane was the first black woman to be elected to the British House of Commons. Diane who is a frequent speaker on BBC’s Question Time, graduated from Cambridge University and then worked for the Government as a Home Office Civil Servant."
