"5th Turkish - Greek Friendship Festival
DENIZLI - ''Turkish-Greek Friendship Festival'' will take place in southwestern city of Denizli between June 9th and 10th.
The other section of the festival will be held in Samos island of Greece between June 11th and 12th.
Nilufer Tarikahya, the Secretary General of Defne Association, said, ''we believe the festival will contribute to the settlement of a peace atmosphere between the two countries. Academicians, artists, media members and businessmen will meet each other within the scope of the festival.''
Tarikahya said Turkish singers Gonul Yazar and Aleks and Greek singers Klaudia Delmer will perform in the Ancient Theatre in Pamukkale.
She also said ''Friendship Sculpture'', made by sculptor Yunus Tonkus, symbolizing Turkey and Greece, would be unveiled in Incilipinar Park."
