Archaeological excavations to unearth the ancient site of Nysa, located at Sultanhisar in the Aegean province of Aydın, have begun for the season, reported the Anatolia news agency on Thursday.
Associate Professor Musa Kadoğlu, a lecturer at Ankara University, told reporters that 50 people would take part in the excavations, to be headed by Professor Vedat İdil. "
