"Turkish and Georgian leaders meet to discuss closer economic ties

Georgian Prime Minister Zurab Nogaideli met yesterday with the Turkish premier in Istanbul, where the two discussed improving energy, transportation and economic ties.
Georgia is Turkey's north-eastern neighbour, and both countries have been struggling to deal with potentially crippling volatility in gas supplies from Russia and Iran. Nogaideli was joined by Georgia's energy and economic development ministers, and a delegation of Georgian businessmen."
