International politics is a complicated political activity employed by international actors.
Among the global players there are international organizations, influential people, and multinational companies. Over the past 20-30 years, these multinationals have increased their global power, so much so that it is claimed they are often more powerful than even nation states. However, it is not wrong to say that nation states carry the most significance in the international arena, because foreign politics mainly flows among states. However, today certain conditions are required for a state to be referred to as a global player. Consequently, not every state is and can be a global player. To legally call a community a state it needs to be recognized by the United Nations. "
