Every passing year, the EU becomes less competitive compared to the United States, and it is trying to save itself with the 'Lisbon Strategy' it signed in 2000.

The European Union, which has been experiencing a trend of becoming less technological, is trying to establish a European Institute of Technology (EIT). In this context the EU could utilize Turkey's experience in higher education and cheap and capable brainpower.
I ask myself how Turkey could contribute to Europe's �soup� of economic competitiveness and technological development."
