"Turkey May Become Mediator in Hamas Issue

Ankara. German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier stated Turkey may mediate in issue of acknowledging Palestinian movement Hamas, online publication Internethaber informs.
Steinmeier made a short visit to Ankara after his tour in the Middle East and is the first Minister from Angela Merkel’s government to visit Turkey.
Minister Steinmeier reminded EU has stated some conditions for acknowledging Hamas and that it will have nothing against Turkey being the mediator but only if these conditions are fulfilled. "
