"EU Presidency invites Turkey to mediate in cartoon row
EU Term President Austria invited Turkey to a 'Gymnich' meeting in Salzburg next month, with the expectation that this EU candidate country can mediate in cartoon row.
'The Turkish foreign minister has been invited to open a discussion on this theme at a meeting of foreign ministers on 11 March,' Austrian presidency spokesman Nikola Johannes said, according to Danish daily Politiken. Mr Gul is also expected to shed light on the 'Alliance of Civilisations' plan."
