Once again, the Cyprus issue has come back to haunt Turkish-Greek relationships. The issue of whether recognition of the Cyprus Republic was among the pre-conditions for the start of Turkish entry talks has suddenly been upgraded to a major matter of dispute, not just between Greek Cyprus and Turkey but also between Turkey and the secretly anti-Turkish Europeans who used to hide behind the skirt of Greece during the time of the Andreas Papandreou-Thoeodros Pangalos government. Admittedly, Greece had many reservations then about Turkey's European perspective but there were other European countries who were thinking the same, too. If the reservations of Greece had to do a lot about getting Greek Cyprus into Europe and sorting Aegean issues, the anti Turkish agenda of certain Europeans had a lot to do with a deeply rooted approach of �lets not allow the Barbaric Turk into civilized Europe.�"
