"Turkey sends $1.8 million in aid to Africa

Turkey has sent $1.8 million in humanitarian aid to African countries which are suffering from the threat of famine daily. In a statement made on Wednesday, the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) said, ''Niger, Mali, Mauritania, Burkina Faso, Sierra Leone and Guinea have been affected by famine after locust invasion and drought which have damaged crops in the continent recently. Millions of people including hundreds of thousands of children in those countries urgently require foodstuffs.''"
