"US delegation begins contacts in TRNC
LEFKOSE (TRNC) - A second U.S. congressional delegation of seven staff members, chaired by U.S. Congress Joint Economic Committee chief economist James Isaac Brown, yesterday began contacts in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).
The delegation was received by TRNC President Mehmet Ali Talat in a meeting closed to the press.
Following on a similar visit in May, the second U.S. delegation arrived at the TRNC's Ercan Airport late Monday, via Istanbul. The visit is thus considered another important step towards ending the TRNC's isolation."
