Panel Discusses Implications for Turkey, Iraq and the U.S.
On August 4, 2005, JINSA convened a panel of experts to discuss what role the U.S. can and should play in the battle against the resurgent Kurdish terrorist organization known as the PKK (Partiya Karkern Kurdistan). Taking place at JINSA’s Washington, D.C. offices, the panel also considered America’s role in support of Turkey’s battle against the PKK within its own borders. The timing of the JINSA panel discussion importantly coincided with the second trilateral meeting to discuss the PKK held between Turkish, American and Iraqi officials this week in Washington D.C."
