Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, on a visit to Hungary, met his Hungarian counterpart and held a press conference on Thursday in the parliamentary building.

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said in his speech, Turkish and Hungary solidarity will improve under the EU roof. We talked about politics, economics, trade and cultural relations. We have common cultures when it comes to our history. Our friendship with Hungary is very old. With the EU process, the two countries relations will grow. I apprecicate it. Hungary supports Turkey in the EU process. Our foreign trade volume between Turkey and Hungary in 2004 increased 30%. This volume increasing every day. However, this increase does not show both countries potential. We should take this potential on to a better place. Both parties have enough willpower."
