The Turkish General Staff's Strategic Research and Study Center (SAREM) on Thursday hosted a symposium on 'Society, Administration, and Leadership Strategies in Light of the Information Age and Technological Developments' at the War Academies Command in Istanbul.
At the symposium were Deputy Chief of General Staff Gen. Ilker Basbug, War Academies Commander Gen. Faruk Comert, former Chief of General Staff Ismail Hakki Karadayi, businessmen Bulent Eczacibasi and Nihat Gokyigit and many scholars
Two journalists from pro-Islamist Vakit daily, as well as a number of newspaper and TV reporters, were barred from attending by the General Staff."
