"Greek 'Ban' on Selling Property in the Turkish Cyprus
The Greek-Cypriot Administration has put a former law from 1970 into practice and banned the selling of 'Greek property' to Turkish people to prevent Greek goods from being sold in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).
According to the news in Greek press, the law known as 1970/49 gives the Interior Ministry authority to ban the transformation of sales of property 'in case the person who purchased the property is persuaded that he/she has the probability to use the purchased goods to affect the public security.'"
