Ayse Ozgun
Listening to part of Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's speech on World Women's Day, I think I understand him, even though what he truly needs to say is not being said. I'd like to go over some notes I've jotted down and ask my readers to please correct me if my perception is wrong. Here is what he said:
Men and women cannot be disassociated from the family.' We need a strong sense of society. There may be provocative elements around us. We must be very careful in our assessments. We must be sensitive to women taking their place in society. Discrimination towards women is worse than racism. "
