The Turkish government, under fire for seeming to fall asleep at the wheel in its drive to enter the European Union, is about to receive a wake-up call.
Olli Rehn, the EU's enlargement commissioner, arrives in Ankara on Sunday to look at Turkey's preparations for EU membership talks, which begin onOctober 3."
