Lufthansa seeks EU help to compete against Gulf, Turkish rivals

German flag carrier Lufthansa has called for enhanced political support from Berlin and Brussels to help the company from losing even more ground in global markets to rival carriers in the Gulf as well as Turkish Airlines (THY).
