Turkey’s Kurds demand Öcalan’s release

Qamishli, Syria – Subsequent to a protest on the anniversary of the arrest of Abdullah Öcalan, leader of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK), clashes broke out between Kurdish citizens and members of the Turkish police in Nusaybin town of Mardin province, in southeastern Turkey, near the Syrian city of Qamishli (Qamishlo), local sources reported on Sunday.
