Former US national security adviser to President Jimmy Carter has said Turkey will pay the price if Ankara is unwilling to undertake what is necessary as part of a campaign to tackle the Islamic State of Iraq and Levant (ISIL) in the region, claiming that Turkey's "self-interest is involved."
