Turkey turning into legal police state, says German politician
One of the longest-standing members in the German parliament of Turkish origin, Özcan Mutlu of the Green Party, has stated that the new proposed judicial package of the Justice and Development Party (AK Party) could turn Turkey from a police state in practice to a police state authorized by the law.
