Gendarmerie forces in İstanbul’s Esenyurt over violent protests

Following a tense evening due to protests against the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) offensive in Kobani on Tuesday in İstanbul’s Esenyurt district, gendarmerie forces were dispatched to the district to as backup force to the police to ensure security.
