EU lenient on indispensable Turkey

Last week was the first week of October, and that meant that, as usual, the European Commission (EC) published its annual evaluation on the progress made by Turkey in its accession negotiations with the European Union. Unlike the last couple of years, when Turkey's leaders bashed the Progress Report for being biased and unfair, the 2014 scoreboard was welcomed by Turkish EU Minister Volkan Bozkır, who called it "balanced and objective in general."
