Carlyle Said to Drop Middle East Fund, Back Turkey-Focused Pool

Carlyle Group LP (CG), the world’s second-largest buyout firm, dropped plans to raise its second fund targeting investments in the Middle East, two people with knowledge of the plan said, amid rising turmoil in the region.
