While Istanbul slumbers

“No one sleeps through the revolution,” mutters my dad as we navigate the shards of broken glass bottles littering the streets around Istanbul’s Taksim Square. It’s the morning after another noisy Saturday night of young people yelling and neighbours yelling at young people to stop yelling.
