Ergenekon: Turkish court orders release of jailed former army chief

A Turkish court has ordered the release of former army chief Ilker Basbug, who was given a life sentence last year for plotting to overthrow the government.
The release order came after Turkey’s constitutional court ruled that Basbug’s detention for his alleged role in the “Ergenekon” conspiracy violated his rights.
