In response to Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's statement on Tuesday that his British counterpart, David Cameron, had ordered the closure of a newspaper, the Prime Ministry has made a peculiar clarification: that Erdoğan's remark should be understood to mean that its owners, not the British prime minister, have closed down the newspaper.
