LEAD: Embattled Turkish prime minister rallies supporters upon return
Istanbul (dpa) - A combative Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan demanded an immediate end to anti-government protests Friday, after arriving back from a visit to North Africa.
In his first public show of support since protests began one week ago, the prime minister addressed around 10,000 supporters of his governing Justice and Development Party (AKP) at Istanbul‘s Ataturk airport in the early hours of Friday.
