Istanbul Square Crackdown Shakes Erdogan's Regional Credibility
TEHRAN (FNA)- Those fervent proponents of secular state and, surprisingly, Islamists in the region who believed that Turkey presented a successful model of democracy in a Muslim state, have now reversed their views as they observe how the Turkish government's strong crackdown on protesters and the Gezi park events has diminished Ankara's influence in the region, a US media report said.
