Erdogan maintains hard stance on protests

ANKARA, Turkey — Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Monday again dismissed street protests against his rule as actions organized by extremists, described them as a temporary blip and angrily rejected comparisons with the Arab Spring uprisings.
