Cyprus: Eroglu calls for deadlines in reunification talks

(ANSAmed) - NICOSIA, OCTOBER 18 - Turkish Cypriot leader Dervis Eroglu has called for the sluggish Cyprus talks to be speeded up after the elections next year, as Famagusta Gazette reports today. He said that the Cyprus talks could not resume automatically from where they were left off, after the election of the new president in the Republic next year. Eroglu said is a need to open a new page in the Cyprus negotiations after the elections. "We can't act as if nothing has happened. We need to open a new page and establish a new table for the negotiations.
