Turkey to drill for oil in north Cyprus, location revealed

Under the title “Here it is!” Turkish Cypriot daily Haberdar had revealed the area that the land oil explorations will be conducted in occupied Cyprus by the Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO).
According to the paper, the land oil exploration, which will start on 28 February and will take place in an area south of the small dam in occupied Syngrasi village, between the villages of Syngrasi and Lapathos and on the slope of the hill from which the Nicosia –Trikomo road passes.
