"Boycott row escalates in Turkey

Turkey's main opposition on Tuesday vowed to maintain a parliamentary boycott as the ruling party threatened that its deputies might be expelled from the legislature.

It was the latest episode in an escalating row since the June 12 elections after the courts refused to free opposition lawmakers who were elected from prison, where they have been awaiting trial over anti-government plots or links to Kurdish rebels."
